Mohan Joshi On Pune Metro | What is the progress of Pune Metro project in 2,400 days, asks Mohan Joshi
PUNE : Mohan Joshi On Pune Metro | The Vice President of the State unit of Congress Party, Mohan Joshi, said that Pune Metro is the dream of Puneites but for how many years and decades they would have to wait for the service to begin? “The inauguration of Fugewadi to Shivaji Nagar court and Garware College to Ruby Hall Clinic routes was going to happen on July 15. Why it did not happen?”
“The hurriedly organised ground breaking ceremony presided over by PM Narendra Modi on December 24, 2016 of only a five km route was done with a focus on the elections. The function was held to mislead people. Now, 2,400 days have passed after the ground breaking ceremony and during this period, the work of only a five km route was completed. Now, the BJP should announce how many years or decades will it take for the work on the remaining 29-30 km stretch to be completed,” Joshi said.
“Guardian Minister of Pune district Chandrakant Patil made many promises regarding the Pune Metro project. Patil is making promises every month. Patil had said that the inauguration will happen in January, March, May 1, June and July 15. However, the Pune Metro project is not moving ahead. What is the problem and why is the project being delayed? The guardian minister should answer these questions,” Joshi added.
