Milk prices to rise by 5 rupees again as the government not paying the subsidy

NP NEWS 24 ONLINE – A Few months back Maharashtra government saw a huge outburst of farmers as the milk price which the government was paying at that time was way less than what they wanted. Agitation was led by Raju Shetty’s Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatan.

To get this situation in control the government accepted the demands of the farmers and the milk association but only the subsidy of August month was paid by the government. As if the decision was taken just to make situation clam.

Till date the government has not paid the subsidy of the last 3 month, thus the milk organisation has decided to get out of this plan of government and increase the price of Milk again.

When the milk associations asked the government officials about the subsidy which was not being paid to them since last 3 months there was no one who would take the responsibility of the happenings. They also asked that how many days are we supposed to continue giving milk with the subsidy. But they didn’t get any satisfactory answer.

“If the government didn’t pay us the rest of the subsidy of last 3 months then we will increase the price of milk from 15^th December which will be applicable from 16^th December.
If the government want us to stay in this plan then they must take some action” said an official from milk association.

If this government versus milk association war situation holds then the only one who will have to suffer because of this is the common man, who then will have to pay rupees 5 extra as the government is not ready to pay that. The common people from Maharashtra are demanding that the government must take the decision soon.
