Mild Lathi Charge on protesters outside the Collector’s Office

Protestors were performing “Dharna Aandolan” outside the Collector office in support of Maratha Reservation. Violence by the protesters was triggered in the afternoon and in the evening when the protesters were not ready to stop the agitation, police started a mild lathi charge. In which 2 protesters were injured.

It became violent when Protestors asked Pune collector Naval Kishore Ram to accept their demands but he denied to accept it on the immediate basis.

The protest was going normally. The protest is taking a violent turn and as per the report of NP NEWS 24, protestors were being out of control thus the police had to use lathi charge.
The co-ordinators of Sakal Maratha Samaj Protest have left and after which the protestors have been out of control. The coordinators had given the time for a peaceful protest (Dharna Aandolan) in front of the Collector office on August 9 only between 11 am to 6 pm.

Agitators were restricting ground reporters to take image or footage. They also destoryed the properties of Collector office.
