Meet Rahul Dev, First ‘Hindu’ Pilot of Pakistani Air Force from Tharparkar Village of Sindh

New Delhi : For the first time in the history of Pakistan Air Force, a Hindu pilot has been selected. The name of this Hindu youth is Rahul Dev and he will hold the post of General Duty Pilot in Pakistani Air Force.

According to Pakistani media, Rahul Dev comes from Tharparkar, the largest district in Sindh province. A large number of people of Hindu community live in Tharparkar. All Pakistan Hindu Panchayat Secretary Ravi Dawani expressed happiness over Rahul Dev’s selection as a pilot in the Pakistani Air Force. He said that many people from minority communities are already serving in the Pakistani Army and Civil Services.

Many doctors in Pakistan are also from the Hindu community. He said that if the government pays attention to the minorities, then in the coming days many Rahul Devs will be ready to serve the country.

Rahul Dev is also being discussed and praised on social media. Being from a backward area of Sindh province, Rahul acquired a large post like GDP (General Duty Pilot) in the Pakistani Air Force. Social media users are calling Rahul Dev’s achievement extraordinary.

The Human Development Index of Tharparkar district is the worst in the entire Sindh province. The condition of infrastructure, health facilities and education system is in a state of disarray. In the last few years, the food and water crisis in the district worsened. Despite all these challenges, Rahul Dev has set an example for many people like him.

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan announced during the 2018 election that he would protect the civil, social and religious rights of minorities. However, nothing changed even after Imran Khan came to power. Minorities in Pakistan did not get the rights and respect they should have. Recently, the minority community accused the Sindh administration of discriminating on religious grounds. People of Hindu and Christian community had complained that Sindh administration refused to supply them ration and food grains.
