Marathi cinema suffers loss of 400 crore, 30 to 35 films stuck due to corona

Kolhapur : Marathi film industry has also suffered a huge loss due to Corona. Marathi film industry has lost about Rs 400 crore. Except for a few artists, due to delays in filming and exhibitions, many are running out of money. Artists and technicians are also starving. Therefore, Marathi cinema has started ‘Begin Again’.

150 films are made in Marathi every year. Of these, only eight to ten become superhits, while 90 to 140 films flop. Zee Cinema’s ‘Pandurang’, Praveen Tarde’s ‘Sarsenapati Hambirrao’, Digpal Lanjekar’s ‘Jung Johar’ and 25 to 30 short films are being shot at present. The shooting of Prakash Vaidya’s ‘Choo Mantar’ has been completed. The cinemas closed on the second day after the release of ‘AB and CD’, ‘Vijeta’ and ‘Ibhrat’. Mahesh Manjrekar’s ‘Pangharun’, Viacom-18’s ‘Mee Vasantrao Deshpande’, ‘De Dhakka-2’, ‘Medium Spicy’, ‘Basta’, ‘Institute of Pavatology’, ‘Dagdi Chaal-2’, ‘Ajinkya’ ‘,’ Email-Female ‘,’ Yere Yere Pawasa ‘,’ Aathwa Rang Premacha ‘,’ Neighborhood ‘,’ Jollywood ‘,’ Vajvuya Bandbaja ‘are ready for release.
