Mahesh Motewar | CID raids Mahesh Motewar’s flat in Ambegaon, Pune

Crime Investigation Department (CID) today raided a flat of Mahesh Motewar of Samruddha Jeevan Multi-State Multi-Purpose Co-operative society in connection with an alleged financial scam of Rs 3700 crore.

The department is investigating various cases registered in the state against Samruddha Jeevan Foods India Ltd, Samruddha Jeevan Multi State Multi-Purpose Co-operative Society. The main accused in the case Mahesh Motewar, Vaishali Motewar, Leena Motewar, Prasad Paraskar, Suvarna Motewar, Abhishek Motewar, Vishal Chowdhar among 25 have been booked by the agency. Some of them have been arrested while some are out on bail.

According to information, as a part of the investigation,

CID today raided Motewar’s flat in Ambegaon and

seized the important documents regarding Samruddha Jeevan.

The raid was conducted under the supervision of Sandeep Diwan, Superintendent of Police.

The agency has found many documents from the location and

expecting to get vital information regarding the scam.

Samruddha Jeevan had floated various attractive schemes and attracted investors.

Later many of them filed complaints against the Motewar and Samruddha Jeevan.

During the investigation, it was found that many people have been duped to the tune of Rs 3700 crore.
