Maharashtra : 1576 New Cases of Coronavirus Reported, Total Number of Infected Reached 29,100

Mumbai : The number of infected people increased to 29,100 after about 1,576 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported in Maharashtra. The health department gave this information. The department said in a statement that with the death of 49 more patients, the death toll has gone up to 1,068.

Apart from this, 505 people were discharged from the hospital on Friday. The number of people discharged now stands at 6,564. The statement said that out of 49, 36 people died in Mumbai. In addition, 933 out of 1,576 new cases of infection have been reported from Mumbai. So far, two lakh 50,436 people have been screened in the state.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said that with the arrival of 933 new cases of COVID-19 in Mumbai, 17,671 people have been confirmed to be infected with Coronavirus in the city so far. In the last 24 hours, 34 more people have died in the city. BMC said that today, 334 people who have become infection-free after treatment in the day have been discharged from various hospitals in the city.

At the same time, 650 people have been admitted to hospitals on suspicion of Coronavirus infection. BMC said that out of 933 new cases, there are 231 people whose reports have come from various labs on May 11-12. A total of 1,145 people have been infected with the Coronavirus so far in Dharavi area of Mumbai.
