Karan Johar’s Comeback On Social Media, Shares First Post 2 Months After Sushant’s Death

Mumbai : Bollywood’s famous producer and director Karan Johar has returned to social media. He has greeted the countrymen on the special occasion of Independence Day. Karan’s last post was done on 14 June. This post was about Sushant Singh Rajput. He expressed grief over his death while sharing a photo of himself and Sushant.

Karan Johar wrote on Instagram, “To our great nation…. a treasure trove of culture, heritage and history….”

Significantly, Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide by hanging himself at his Bandra flat on 14 June 2020, after which the issue of nepotism was fiercely debated in Bollywood. Many people were dragged into this debate.

Karan Johar also faced trolls, after which he also made changes in his Twitter account. Karan had unfollowed all except 8 people. These 8 people include Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Apoorva Mehta and the Twitter handle of his production house.

The post was shared by Karan Johar after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Karan made the first tweet on 14 June. In this tweet, Karan wrote – “This is heartbreaking….I have such strong memories of the times we have shared …I can’t believe this ….Rest in peace my friend…when the shock subsides only the best memories will remain….”

Karan wrote in the post – “I blame myself for not being in touch with you for the past year ….. I have felt at times like you may have needed people to share your life with … but somehow I never followed up on that feeling … will never make that mistake again … we live in very energetic and noisy but still very isolated times … some of us succumb to these silences and go within … we need to not just make relationships but also constantly nurture them …. Sushant’s unfortunate demise has been a huge wake up call to me … to my level of compassion and to my ability to foster and protect my equations ….. I hope this resonates with all of you as well …. will miss your infectious smile and your bear hug …. “
