Kandivali, Borivali coldest in Mumbai; Temperature of Vidarbha-Marathwada also goes down

Mumbai: The minimum temperature in Santacruz, Borivali, Kandivali, Mulund, Nerul and Panvel has gone below 20 degrees Celsius, while the lowest temperature in the state was recorded at Chandrapur at 8.6 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature is falling continuously, and the effect of cold is highest in some parts of Marathwada and Vidarbha. The minimum temperature here was recorded at 5 to 6 degrees above average and the weather is expected to remain the same on Wednesday and Thursday, the meteorological department said.

Mumbai and its suburbs are also feeling the effects of the cold, but the daytime temperatures have not dropped. The maximum temperature was recorded at around 35 degrees Celsius, while the minimum night temperature was below 20 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature in Mumbai was recorded at around 19 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.

Central Maharashtra, Marathwada and Vidarbha are the coldest states in the state. Meanwhile, northern India is also experiencing cold waves, with Delhi’s minimum temperature dropping below 10 degrees Celsius.
