IMD warns heavy rainfall and thunderstorm in Pune

PUNE:  The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Mumbai on Monday forecasted heavy rainfall across Pune city and district from Tuesday till Friday, while there would be thunderstorm in some parts, official stated on Monday.

The district has likely to receive heavy rainfall and the chances of getting isolated heavy rainfall in the ghat areas in coming days.

As there is offshore trough running in between South Goa and South Kerala, there would be moisture laden westerly wind that would brought over land and then there will be rainfall.

The vidarbha and Marathwadawould also get widespread rainfall in this week, said IMD official.
