I cannot release water as guardian minister, says Chandrakant Patil

PUNE : NpNews24 Online  – Chandrakant Patil | A decision about water supply to Pune city and district will be taken during a meeting of the canal committee. Against this background, Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil said, “I am under pressure to release water but I cannot release water as Guardian Minister. I have to take a decision after holding discussions.” (Chandrakant Patil)

 

Patil was speaking during the Jeevansadhna Gaurav Puraskar programme and the foundation day celebrations of Bharati Vidyapeeth. Social activist Shantilal Mutha, senior history scholar Dr Jaysinghrao Pawar were honoured with the award. All India Council for Technical Education Vice Chairman Dr Abhay Jere, Chancellor of university Dr Shivajirao Kadam, Dr Vishwajeet Kadam, Vice Chancellor Dr Vivek Savji, Executive Director of Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical Foundation Dr Asmita Jagtap were present.

 

Patil said that Patangrao Kadam had good ties with leaders of all parties. “However, today, leaders consider politicians of different parties as enemies. Politicians use abusive language while speaking about their rivals. There is no option for new inventions in today’s world. The New Education Policy is business oriented and education necessary for day to day life is the cornerstone of the policy,” he added.
