Challenges in education :

It is the need of time, to make great improvements in the educational system of the 21st century. Everyone has rights to education, But still we can not achieve 100% literacy.

The literacy rate has increased rapidly in some states like Tripura and Kerala; But it is a great challenge to create 100 percent literacy in densely populated states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh. States like Karnataka, Gujarat have played an important role in the delivery of education, But still we didn’t reach up to the last element of the society. Now we should think about using advanced updated information-technology, video conferencing, and a variety of textbooks to teach each child.

Where we lacks :

The number of colleges are 7,000 in all the states of India and the number of universities is more than 750. There are 1200 universities in China. If we think about the population, there is need of more 1600 universities in India. After the recommendation of the Knowledge Commission, the Manmohan Singh government established universities where there were no central universities; But nothing has been done beyond establishing 20 universities. Therefore, there is a huge imbalance in higher education.

It is a fact that there is no Indian university in first top 100 universities in the world. Thailand and Malaysia’s  universities and research institutes are also comes in the list of top 100 universities. Then the question remains that where we are lacking?

Where should we work :

To reduce the gap between villages and cities, create knowledge centres and seminars for our schools. So, it’s time to use science-technology to fulfil the basic needs of the country, poverty, food, food, clothing and shelter. It is necessary to make full use of our educational capabilities to reach the planets like Moon, Mars, etc.
