Admission For Economically Weaker Section (EWS) | Ensuring Access to Education: Admission Relaxations for Class XI Without Income Proof

Pune : Admission For Economically Weaker Section (EWS) | Are you concerned about securing admission for your child in Class XI due to the lack of income proof or an Economically Weaker Section (EWS) certificate? Fret not! A Central Online Admission Process for Class XI is currently underway, allowing students to gain admission even without these documents.

Yes, now the Central Online Admission Process for Class XI is ongoing. This process is being implemented for admission to 11th in Junior Colleges in Mumbai, Nagpur, Nashik and Amravati Municipalities along with Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad in the state.

The first regular round of the admission process has been completed recently and currently the process of registering the preference order of colleges in the second round is going on.

It has come to light that the students selected during the first round are being denied admission by the colleges as they do not have a certificate (non-creamy layer) and that they do not belong to advanced groups.

Thankfully, the education department finally moved in the last stage of admission and finally, even if there is no certificate, the Ministry of Education gave an order on June 22 that the students should be admitted by giving the receipt of application and a guarantee letter and an extension of three months to submit this certificate.

But even after that, colleges started denying admission to students citing other documents. So, finally, the Ministry of Education once again issued a letter of order and has given instructions to the Department of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education that students should not be hindered due to lack of documents.

Therefore, even if there is no proof of income along with the certificate of not falling into the advanced groups during the admission, the students will be admitted with the delivery receipt and guarantee letter.

Three months deadline for presentation of certificates

“A three-month deadline has been granted for the submission of relevant certificates. Students from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) face difficulties in obtaining income proofs for the online admission process for Class XI in the academic year 2023-24. In light of this, proposals have been put forth to simplify the process of obtaining income proof.

Such students should be admitted to the junior college by filling in the undertaking and giving a period of three months to submit the relevant certificates by taking delivery receipt or undertaking to the students who do not have non-creamy layer certificate,”

Such instructions have been given to the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education by the Room Officer Vivek Sapkal in the Ministry of School Education.
