Good Samaritan police officer prevents woman from ending her life

Cases of a woman frustrated by acts of drunk husbands and deciding to end her life in Indian society is not new. In an amusing incident, a police officer’s kind-heartedness saved a woman’s life by stopping her to commit suicide out of depression.

A woman has the responsibility to take care of all the needs of her family members. The depressed woman after receiving no financial support from drunkard husband lost hope in life and decided to commit suicide from a Pune based Bandra garden Bridge.

According to sources, the localities of the area were suspicious about Shital being depressed and her activities and as soon as they got a hint about Shital committing suicide from the bridge, they called police after which police immediately rushed to the spot, saved her life and took her to the police station along with them.

The woman was depressed due to debts and loans from banks and was facing a financial crisis.The name of the woman is Shital Sanjay Gawli (30), a resident of Ahmednagar took the decision to commit suicide after losing all hopes from life. Shital, who is a mother of two young kids and is a housewife bought a land in Ahmednagar for which she took loans from the bank.

Unable to repay the loans to the bank, she was in a huge debt and also was not receiving any financial support from drunkard husband, she chose to end her life. Also, she was unable to pay the school fees of her children due to lack of money.

But, Police officer of Yerwada police station converted the woman’s mind and stopped her taking this major step.

The police officer convinced her that ending life was not an option, after which the woman promised the police officer to move ahead in life with positivity and do not let any negative thoughts inculcate in her mind. She promised to be with her children until they become successful in their career. Face the hardships, with good spirit and deal with the problems as life gives both sad and happy moments.
