Former CM Devendra Fadnavis donates Rs 1 lakh for Ram Mandir Construction

The Leader of Opposition in the Maharashtra Assembly and former state chief minister, Devendra Fadnavis, has donated Rs 1 lakh for the construction of the Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir at Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya.

Fadnavis today handed over a sum of Rs 1,00,001 to Swami Govind Dev Giriji Maharaj, the Treasurer of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust for the Ram Mandir construction.

Fadnavis said, “The magnificent temple of Lord Ram is being constructed in Ayodhya. In a way, this is a dream come true for all of us. Today, I feel fortunate to have been able to donate funds to this historic and national identity work”. Devendra Fadnavis has appealed to everyone to donate and join the campaign in large numbers.

The Manas Trust has expressed its desire to build a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya from the donation collected. In this campaign, donations are being collected in the form of Rs. 10, Rs. 100 and Rs. 1000.

It is learned that the construction of Ram temple has started and it will be constructed using stone and copper with a view to make the temple last for 1000 years.

Fadnavis, the former chief minister of Maharashtra, and leader of opposition in the assembly, said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s days of being in the opposition are soon coming to an end but as long as the party is in the opposing camp, it will continue to challenge the ruling government and perform its duty of being a strong opposition in the state assembly.

“As long as you are in the opposition, don’t let dreams of power overwhelm your mind. Just work hard to become the voice of the person sitting at the last end,” he said.
