FIR registered against youth for abetting his lover’s suicide

He was demanding money from her to buy a new vehicle. He used to beat her up if she did not give money.
The deceased has been identified as Ashwini Devidas Rathod (21). Her father Devidas Rathod (54) has lodged a complaint (221/23) at the Viman Nagar police station. Based on the complaint, the police have registered an FIR against Bapu Kisan Maid (22), a resident of Sambhaji Nagar.
According to the police, the complainant’s daughter Ashwini and Bapu Maid were lovers. Ashwini was working as a nurse at Vimal Multispeciality Hospital And Research Centre.
Bapu used to demand money from Ashwini to buy a new vehicle and he used to assault her if she did not comply with his demands.
Since his demands for money increased, Ashwini, who was fed up with his harassment, died by suicide in a room at the hospital on April 7, 2023 at night. Now, an FIR has been registered and PSI Salvi is probing the case.
