FIR against Pashankar builder for cheating customer of Rs 7.38 crores

PUNE NP NEWS24-An FIR has been registered with Warje police station, Pune city police, against Gautam Pashankar, chairman of the Pashankar builders, for allegedly duping a man to the tune of Rs 7.38 crores under prtext of selling him flats.

Ravindra Eknath Kumavat (50), a resident of Kalyaninagar, has lodged the complaint in this regard.

Accorrding to police, Kumavat had booked nine flats in a project of Pashankar builders and had paid Rs 7.38 crores. However, Pashankar had kept one flat with himself and later sold it to another person. In one of the buildings, there was permission to construct only two floors but the builder constructed third and fourth floor also and sold flats on those floors.

When the builder started doing dilly dallying about giving possession of the flats, the complaint had gone to the office of the Pashankar builder on Senapati Bapat Road, where he was allegedly threatened.

Assistant Police Inspector Urkide is doing further investigation under guidance of senior police inspector Rekha Salunke.
