Extreme Tension : Trump Threatens to Close More Chinese Consulates, Said China is Burning Documents in Houston

Houston : Tensions between the US and China have increased once again. President Donald Trump has once again attacked China following an order to close the Chinese consulate in Houston in 72 hours. Donald Trump said on Wednesday that it is always possible as far as the closure of additional embassies is concerned. We will take such action in future also. On the news of the fire at the Chinese Consulate in Houston, Trump said, “We thought there was a fire in the embassy we closed, but the truth is that Chinese employees are burning documents there.” I am surprised to see all this.

The Houston Police Department said firefighters and police officers swung into action after receiving news of documents being burnt around 8 pm on Tuesday at the Consulate General’s premises. The fire has come at a time when there are reports from Beijing that the US has asked China to close its consulate in Houston, Texas. In the video being shared by some people from around the consulate, flames can be seen emanating from several trash cans and coaches. People can also be seen throwing things in the burning garbage.

China Has Threatened
China said on Wednesday that the United States had ordered it to close its consulate in Houston. China has described this as an abusive and inappropriate step which will damage the relationship between the two countries. Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin condemned the US move. The move comes at a time when tensions between the world’s two largest economies are increasing. He warned that if the US does not change its decision, stern retaliatory measures will be taken. “The unilateral closure of China’s Consulate General in Houston within a short period of time is an unprecedented increase in his recent moves against China,” Wang told the daily press conference.
