Enough of AI! Now, railway officials will get Emotional Intelligence training

NP NEWS 24 ONLINE- We are all well aware of AI and what role it plays in modernizing a society, but now, Railway authorities have proved that EI is as important as AI.

And that is the reason now,  Indian Railways have now decided to give EI training to the senior officials of railway.

Artificial Intelligence has been already implemented by Indian railways to prevent signal-failure has started the training for Railway officials to improve service delivery systems in a faster way.

A senior Railway Ministry official said that, “There have been circumstances where officers were not been able to sustain pressure in demanding situations, which impacted decisions,” said a senior officer.

A Divisional Railway Manager who was a part of workshop, “Studies have shown that leaders with higher emotional intelligence are more effective in their work. Coping with stressful or difficult situations and believing that one can manage or influence situations in a positive manner is the main aim of the El module”.

The senior ministry official said, “One comes to know about the blind spots in the quick-decision making process and also the strength one has in certain areas”.

Railways believe and want this hierarchy of training given to the officers should be continued to the next generation also as this EI training will not only help develop a better atmosphere at the work place but also lets empathize with the officials. Henceforth, developing emotional intelligence among the officials is important.

The benefit of this training will be:

1. It will help the officials recover from stress and deal with problems emotionally.

2. After this training, officers will be able to deal with the problems using their emotional quotient (EQ) cause not always IQ helps.

3. Efficient and a positive surrounding will be built in the department.

4. After this training, the delivery systems will be fast.
