Engineer killed while on inspection on Mumbai-Pune Expressway

Navi Mumbai: An engineer who visited the Mumbai-Pune Expressway to supervise the repair work was crushed and died under a road roller. The driver of the roller vehicle fled the scene after the incident. The incident took place within the limits of Rasayani Police Station.

Repair work has been undertaken on both sides to prevent accidents as the there are intersections on the fourth lane on both the sides of the road and traffic congestion on the national highway is at a larger scale.

Jagdale had come to inspect this repair work. However, Jagdale died after falling under a road repair roller. Meanwhile, Rasayani police are searching for the absconding roller driver.

Journey on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway to be superfast

The journey on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway will now be superfast. Work on the new route at Khopoli K Pusgaon is also in full swing and Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had recently inspected the work. A cable stud bridge is also being constructed between Khopoli and Khandala on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. This bridge will be a tourist attraction. This bridge will also reduce the travel time.
