Coronavirus : Yogi Government Bans Pan-Masala, Won’t be Made, Won’t be Sold

Lucknow : To prevent the infection of corona virus, Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has banned pan and tobacco in the entire state. The state government has banned the production, distribution and sale of Pan-Masala in UP till further orders. Pan-Masala is produced on a large scale in many cities of Uttar Pradesh. Kanpur and Noida are highest among them.

On Tuesday, Additional Chief Secretary of the Government of Uttar Pradesh, Avnish Awasthi had said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered that gutkha, pan-masala should be banned.

He said that people spit in government offices, markets and public places after eating gutkha and pan-masala. It spreads dirt and the risk of infection of corona virus increases at this time.

Following the order of CM Yogi Adityanath, on Wednesday, the state government has completely banned the production, distribution and sale of pan-masala. This restriction will continue till the next order. Due to Corona virus, the UP government has appealed to the people not to leave the house at all. The Yogi government has said that the UP administration will deliver goods to people’s homes.
