CM Eknath Shinde Flags Off E-Shivneri Bus Service on Mumbai-Thane-Pune Route

MUMBAI : NpNews24 Online  – E-Shivneri Bus Service On Mumbai-Thane-Pune | Chief Minister Eknath Shinde inaugurated the maiden run of E-Shivneri bus from Thane to Pune on Monday. In a few days, the MSRTC will operate eight buses and the men will have to pay ₹515 and women travellers ₹275. The MSRTC plans to start services from Dadar after charging facilities are made available. (E-Shivneri Bus Service On Mumbai-Thane-Pune)

 

Shinde said that MSRTC plans to operate 100 e Shivneris by the end of the year. He said that the number of passengers travelling by buses has increased from three lakh in April 2022 to 54 lakh in April 2023. This has happened because more elderly people and woman are preferring to travel by buses. He said that 50 per cent concession in fares has been availed by 20 lakh women and the number of passengers travelling by buses will increase this year.

 

The chief minister also inaugurated the Hindu Hriday Samrat Balasaheb Thackeray Swachch Sundar Bus Sthanak Abhiyan. As a part of this scheme, there will be a competition of different bus stands on provision of waiting areas, canteens and toilets.
