Centre gives in-principle nod to Pune-Nashik High Speed Railway

New Delhi : Pune Nashik High Speed Railway | Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has approved in principle the proposal of the Maharashtra government to connect the two cities of Pune and Nashik by the high speed railway. Fadnavis met Vaishnav in Delhi. He told this while talking to the media after the meeting. He said an important meeting was held with the Railway Minister. In this meeting, the Pune-Nashik High Speed Rail Project was approved in principle. It is an important step for this project and he thanked the Minister and the Central government for it. Fadnavis also assured that the technical aspects of the Pune-Nashik High Speed Rail project will be finalized soon after a meeting between the concerned companies of the state government and the officials of the Centre.

 

Pune and Nashik are historically and culturally important cities in Maharashtra.
On this occasion, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that through railways, the economic conditions of these cities and the development of Maharashtra will be accelerated. He also appreciated Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ follow-up for this project.
