Bhima-Koregaon case : Inquiry Commission to record statement of NCP Chief Sharad Pawar

npnews24 –  Mumbai : NIA has filed a 10,000-page chargesheet against eight people in a special NIA court in Bhima-Koregaon case. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered chargesheets against eight persons, including Anand Teltumbde, Gautam Navlakha, Honey Babu, Sagar Gorkhe, Ramesh Gaichor, Jyoti Jagtap, Stan Swamy and Milind Teltumbde in Bhima-Koregaon case. The testimony of NCP Chief Sharad Pawar will now be recorded in the most discussed Bhima-Koregaon case.

Sharad Pawar had earlier alleged that the Bhima Koregaon case was investigated in a wrong manner and that innocent people were involved in it. The transfer of the Bhima Koregaon case to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) sparked controversy between the Center and the state government. Therefore, after the Mahavikas Aghadi government came to power, the Bhima Koregaon case should be investigated by the SIT, said Sharad Pawar.

The commission set up to probe the Bhima Koregaon case had expired in April last year. The commission was later granted an extension, however, its work stalled due to the Corona pandemic. The commission is now functioning from August 2. NCP president Sharad Pawar will testify in this case.

Justice J. N. Patel is the chairman of the Koregaon Bhima Inquiry Commission. Earlier, it was said that the testimony of Sharad Pawar would also be recorded. Now, the inquiry commission’s lawyer Ashish Satpute has said that the testimony of witnesses has been recorded since August 2
