Baramati school headmaster arrested for taking Rs 4100 bribe from assistant teacher

Baramati NP NEWS NETWORK – The headmaster of the Bahiravnath Vidyalaya, Baburdi in Baramati taluka of Pune district, was arrested on Friday by the anti-corruption bureau (ACB) for allegedly accepting bribe of Rs 4100 from an assistant teacher. The accused was demanding bribe to make entries in his service book and also to fix his pay of the past service.

The arrested accused has been identified as Manohar Kisan Khomane (41), who is the headmaster. After getting the complaint from the teacher, the ACB sleuths verified the bribe demand.

On Friday, the accused headmaster accepted the bribe money through peon Navnath Vivek Pawar (31). The cops caught him red-handed and later arrested the headmaster also.

An FIR has been registered with Baramati taluka police station against the duo for offences under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
