Ayodhya dispute’s hearing will be in the new year

NEW DELHI: NP NEWS 24 ONLINE-  The Supreme Court stopped the hearing of controversial Babri Masjid case and declared that the next hearing will take place in January 2019. The petition challenging Allahabad High Court’s decision will now be heard in the Supreme Court and results are expected on an important question that has been unsolved for many decades. The date of the hearing will be announced later.

It was explained in the 1994 judgment that the mosque is not an integral element of Islam. In the case of M Ismail Faruqui vs Union of India, it has been it was cleared that the mosque was not an integral part of Islam because the prayers can be an offer from anywhere. According to the petitioners, the earlier verdicts of the Ayodhya case were affected by this decision, so it should be handled by the larger bench.

Under the Ayodhya Act 1993, in the Ram Janmabhoomi Babri Masjid complex 67.703 acres of land has been acquired.

However, rejecting the petition of demanding the hearing at the larger bench, CJI Deepak Mishra said that the verdict of M Ismail Faruqui vs Union of India case was regarding the acquisition of land only and in other cases has nothing to do with this. As the Mosque is not an integral part of Islam; it doesn’t mean that the mosque is not a necessary part to follow Islam, said by CJI Deepak Mishra and Judge Ashok Bhushan.

Impact on Election :

Now, everyone’s attention is on the Supreme Court’s decision on the dispute of Ram Janmabhoomi Babri Masjid. Lok Sabha elections will be held in next year,  So there is the possibility of this case will make an impact on the election results.
