Anti-Corruption Bureau | Revenue officer walks into the ACB net in Ratnagiri district

Pune : NpNews24 Online – Ratnagiri Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials arrested red-handed an officer from the Bharane Circle while accepting a bribe of Rs 14,000 at the Bharane Gram Panchayat office in Khed taluka of the district on Wednesday.

He demanded the bribe to register the complainant’s name on the 7/12 extract and approve the same. The accused has been identified as Sachin Yashwant Govalkar (43), the circle officer, Bharane, taluka Khed, dist. Ratnagiri.

According to details, the complainant approached the ACB, Ratnagiri as he did not want to give the bribe. The action was taken under the guidance of SP (ACB Thane) Panjabrao Ugale and Addl SP Anil Gherdikar. DySP (ACB) Sushant Chavan, police personnel Nalawade, Humbare pariticipated in the action.
