PSI, private person arrested by ACB (Pune) for accepting bribe of Rs 15,000
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Pune | The ACB Pune officials have arrested PSI Vilas Dattatraya Dhotre (35), posted at Baramati taluka police station for demanding Rs 50,000 for not registering an FIR on a complaint and accepting Rs 15,000 and a private person, Rishikesh Nandkumar Patange, by laying a trap. The action taken by ACB (Pune) has created a flutter in Pune police department. (Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Pune)
A 25-year-old complainant has filed a complaint at the ACB (Pune) office. A complaint against the complainant was submitted at the Baramati taluka police station and PSI Vilas Dhotre demanded a bribe of Rs 50,000. The complainant made a complaint to the ACB (Pune) office.
When the complaint was checked on April 9, private person Rishikesh Patange demanded a bribe of Rs 20,000 for PSI Vilas Dhotre and accepted Rs 15,000 after a compromise. When he was giving the money to Dhotre, they were caught red handed. Both were produced in the special court in Baramati and the court has remanded them in two-day police custody.
The action was taken under the guidance of Pune ACB SP Rajesh Bansode and Addl SP Suraj Gurav by a team of Pune unit. PI Praneta Sangolkar is investigating the case.
