Dhoni steps down from captainship in 2017 January before the series between India and New Zeeland. Dhoni started captaining India in 2007 as he was named as the captain of Indian cricket team going for the T-20 world cup in South Africa. The hard work and determination paid off and India became the winner of the Inaugural T20 world cup.
