Amid Covid-19 Pandemic Final Year Exams Must To Promote Students: SC

New Delhi: Supreme Court upholds the University Grants Commission’s July 6 circular to hold University final year exams. Court says States must hold exams to promote students. It says states under Disaster management Act can postpone exams in view of pandemic & can consult UGC to fix dates.

Meanwhile, Supreme Court also says students cannot be promoted without University final year exams.Supreme Court says states/UTs cannot promote students without final year exams. A bench headed by Justice Ashok Bhushan has pronounced the judgement on the pleas challenging the decision of UGC asking universities and colleges to conduct final year exams by September 30.
