Agri Horticulture Society cancels flower show at Empress Garden; first time in 25 years

Ghorpadi (Pune): The flower show organized by the Agri Horticultural Society of Western India at the Empress Garden will not be held in the backdrop of Covid-19 crisis. Committee member Suresh Pingale informed about the same.

 

The exhibition includes ornamental tree pots, vegetables, garden replicas, flower arrangements as well as a variety of flowers. Also, various competitions are organized for children. In this exhibition, citizens get a chance to see different species of roses brought from different parts of the country. Every year a large crowd of scholars and tourists enjoy the flower display.

 

The Empress Garden, known as the British Garden, is famous for its variety of features. The spacious garden has a variety of plants, flowers, and play area for the children. The Empress Garden is known for its dense forests, birds and beautiful atmosphere. Due to this, citizens eagerly wait for this exhibition every year. Due to the pandemic, restrictions have been imposed on hosting large events. This is the first time the exhibition has been canceled in the last 25 years.
