ACB Trap Case News | PCMC official walks into the ACB trap
Pune: ACB Trap Case News | The Anti-Corruption Bureau caught red-handed an assistant park inspector of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) while accepting a bribe of Rs 17,000 from a contractor.
A case has been registered against him at the MIDC Bhosari Police Station and he has been arrested.
The arrested accused has been identified as Kiran Arjun Manjre (46), assistant park inspector, PCMC. According to the details, the complainant is a contractor. He had done some work in a PCMC park and requested Manjre to sanction a bill for the same. Hence, Manjre demanded the bribe to clear the bill.
The complainant did not want to pay the bribe. Hence, he approached the ACB. The complaint was cross-checked. Manjre accepted Rs 17,000 from the complainant in the presence of the witnesses during the trap. A case has been registered against him at the MIDC, Bhosari Police Station.
The action was taken by PI Shriram Shinde, policemen Sunil Suradkar, Saurabh Mahashabde and Pandurang Mali. It was taken under the guidance of Pune ACB SP Amol Tambe, Addl SP Sheetal Janve-Kharade.
