Pune – Navale Bridge Accident | Two killed in separate mishaps near Navle Bridge area
PUNE : Pune – Navale Bridge Accident | The series of accidents continues in the Navle Bridge area. The Navale Bridge has become a hotspot of accidents. Two people were killed in two different accidents on Tuesday. The incident took place between Navle Bridge and Warje.
A speeding vehicle travelling on the service road near the Swami Narayan temple located near the Navle Bridge, hit a two-wheeler. Thakur Lakhan Kushwah (28), a resident of Datta Nagar died in the mishap. The accident took place at 4 am. An FIR against an unknown vehicle driver has been registered at the Bharati Vidyapeeth police station. A complaint has been lodged by Rajendra Kushwah (32).
Rajendra and his brother Lakhan were travelling on the bypass by a two-wheeler at 4 am. A speeding vehicle hit their two-wheeler. Lakhan, who was seriously injured, died before treatment. After the accident, the driver of the vehicle did not stop and disappeared. The police are searching for the driver of the vehicle. PSI Mohan Deshmukh is probing the case.
In another mishap on the bypass near Warje, a pick up vehicle turned turtle and the driver was killed. The deceased has been identified as Omkar Dattatray Pansare (21), a resident of Junnar taluka. Policeman Balaji Kate has lodged a complaint at the Warje Malwadi police station. Omkar Pansare was speeding towards Satara but he lost control of the vehicle and it turned turtle. Omkar was seriously injured and he died on the spot. PSI Trupti Patil is probing the case.
