Pune Lohegaon Airport | Passengers agitate at Pune Airport; Flight delayed by 10 hours; CISF jawans forcibly take away three passengers

PUNE : Pune Lohegaon Airport | The Air Asia flight to Bengaluru was scheduled to depart at 5.30 am and the passengers had been waiting since 3 am. However, since the aircraft did not arrive till 3 pm, the passengers were forced to wait for the plane for 10 hours. The passengers were asked to board an aircraft which was earlier scheduled to go to Jaipur. Passengers who had booked tickets on the flight to Jaipur had to face agony for a few hours. Hence, the passengers resorted to an agitation and protested against the company. Because the flight to Jaipur was delayed, three passengers who were agitating at gate number 4 were apprehended by CISF jawans. The passengers were forcibly taken away by jawans by carrying them.

 

The passengers of the Bengaluru flight reached the airport early in the morning. They waited for the aircraft to arrive for some time and later asked airline employees. Since they did not get a firm answer, the passengers became angry. Some passengers had to go for an interview, some had to visit the hospital and some had to attend a meeting. All these passengers faced severe hardships and they were stuck at the airport for 10 hours. The company decided to send the 2.55 aircraft scheduled to go to Jaipur to Bengaluru. The passengers shouted slogans against Air Asia.

 

 

Because the aircraft going to Jaipur was sent to Bengaluru, passengers travelling to Jaipur were stuck. They demanded that an aircraft scheduled to go to Bhubaneswar should be sent to Jaipur. However, the company staff said that there was no flight to Jaipur till 5.30 pm. Hence, the passengers shouted slogans against the company. An official of AirAsia said that a technical problem had created the problem and alternative arrangements would be made.

 

A young woman was crying because the flight going to Jaipur had been delayed. She said that her father was in a hospital and was battling death. She was wondering how she would reach Jaipur if no flight was available.
