A woman’s lover attempts to kill her husband in Sangamwadi

Pune : NpNews24 Online  – Pune Crime | After a man quarrelled with his wife over her love affair, her lover tried to kill him by attacking him in the head with a sickle. (Pune Crime)

A 32-year-old man living in Sangamwadi has lodged a complaint at the Yerwada Police Station in this regard. Accordingly, the police have arrested Kanifnath alias Kankya Kolar (40) from Sangamwadi. The incident took place on the road in front of Ganesh temple in Sangamwadi gaothan at 8:30 pm on Saturday. (Pune Crime)

According to the police, the complainant has been living separately from his wife for the last two years. As his wife and Kanifnath Kolar were having an affair, there was a dispute between the complainant and the accused. When the complainant was going home in a rickshaw on Saturday night, Kolar stopped the rickshaw and abused him. After pulling him out from the rickshaw, the accused hit him on the head and hand with the sickle and seriously injured him. Then he ran away.

The complainant was admitted to the Prime Multispeciality Hospital in Navi Sangvi.

The police have registered a case of attempt to murder against Kanifnath and arrested him. PSI Patil is investigating further.
