A woman and a man committ suicide by hanging themselves in the same house in Katraj

Pune : NpNews24 Online  – Pune Crime | A man committed suicide by hanging himself, along with a woman, in Katraj area. The reason behind the suicide could not be known. The victims have been identified as Barkha Mandal (32) and Raju Farooq Shaikh (31) from Katraj. (Pune Crime)

A few days ago, they had taken a room on rent at Katraj.
According to the police, Barkha hails from West Bengal while Raju is a resident of Pune. Barkha’s children and husband are in West Bengal. Barkha and Raju got to know each other at a brothel in Budhwar Peth. For the last few days, they were living in Katraj. As their house door remained closed throughout the day, their neighbors got suspicious and called the police. Cops from the Bharti Vidyapeeth police station reached the spot. They opened the doorand found that Raju had committed suicide in the hall while Barkha in the kitchen by hanging themselves. The police sent the bodies to the Sassoon Hospital for autopsy. A case of accidental death has been registered at the . Bharti Vidyapeeth police station.
