PUNE : NP NEWS 24 ONLINE- India observed 10^th anniversary of 26/11 Mumbai terror attack on Monday. Ajmal Kasab was the only terrorist who was captured in this attack. Kasab was caught alive after the hard work of the police and security forces. Indian court given capital punishment to him. Kasab spent his jail life in the egg cell of Arthur Road Jail. But hanged him in Pune’s Yerwada jail, not in Mumbai. For this, Kasab was brought by a very confidential manner in Yerwada jail of Pune from the egg cell of Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail,

Kasab’s journey was extremely confidential –

The operation of bringing Kasab from Mumbai to Pune was highly confidential. During this time the officers was talking in code language. It was confirmed by the ‘code sentence’ that his arrival in Pune jail. He was hanged on the second day. A senior police officer involved in the operation told that “Parcel Reached Fox” was the code word which confirmed that the vehicle from which Kasab was being taken has reached Pune jail.

The official also said that seven such code words were made for this entire operation. Under this, the message was being given. ‘Parcel Reached fox’ was also one of the same code word. It was the last code word between the two senior police officers. Only few senior officers were knew these codes. In which the then Union Home Minister R R Patil and some top police officers were involved.

Some selected officials were responsible for carrying Kasab to Yerwada Central Jail from Aurora Road Jail’s Egg Cell. In this, the Force One Commando policemen were equipped with modern weapons and they were walking with Kasab’s vehicle. A team of state reserve police officers was running by keeping some distance with the vehicle so nobody can take suspected.

All the mobile phones of the involved police officers were switched off and it was seized in a bag. Only two handsets kept on. From this we can understand the secrecy of the mission.

The official said that during the three-hour of operation, Kasab did not even say a word. There was no wrinkle on his forehead when he was handed over to Yerwada jail officials.
