25-year-old woman sexually harassed in Pimpri, one booked

Pimpri: A 25-year-old man was booked for sexually assaulting a woman by threatening to kill herself and her husband, the police said. This incident happened between April 2020 and March 8, 2021.

The accused has been identified as Rohan Rajendra Vahile (25), resident of Dehu Road. A 25-year-old woman has lodged a complaint at Wakad police station.

According to the police, the accused monitored the woman and her husband and blackmailed her saying that he would send her personal pictures to her husband and her relatives. He hurled abuses at her after she refused to accept having a relationship with Rohan.

Rohan used to threaten her and ask her to leave her husband and come to him, a police official said. The accused often blackmailed the woman and tortured her for denying his offer. Wakad police are further investigating the case.
