22-year-old ends life in field in Jalgaon, no suicide note recovered

Jalgaon: A 22-year-old died by suicide at Bholane in Jalgaon on Wednesday afternoon, the police said. The deceased identified as Gokul Sukdev Sapkale (22), was rushed to the hospital in Jalgaon where he died during treatment at 2 am on Thursday. No suicide note was recovered, the police said.

According to the police, Gokul was living with his parents in Bholane village. He has a farm in Bholane Shivara and supports his family by farming. While working in the field at around 1.30 pm on Wednesday, Gokul administered poison in the field and went to his village. He was then rushed to the hospital where he died during treatment on Thursday. A sudden death has been reported to the taluka police in this regard.

Gokul is survived by his mother Sulabai, father Sukdev Sapkale, two elder brothers- Tukaram and Madan, and two married sisters. Both the elder brothers are married and live with their family in Thane in Mumbai.
