19-year-old molested by gym trainer in Kondhwa, booked

Pune: A gym trainer molested a 19-year-old girl on pretext of teaching her boxing. A case has been registered against the gym trainer at Kondhwa police station.

According to information given by the police, the 19-year-old college student has filed a complaint in this matter. Police have registered a case against a gym trainer identified as Robin Simon Anthony (28), resident of the Cantonment. The incident took place at the girl’s flat, when the accused molested the girl.

According to the FIR, “The victim is a student of BA first year. The woman had joined the gym six months ago. The victim’s brother already used to go to the gym, due to which the victim joined the gym. The accused Robbin Anthony is the victim’s gym trainer. The victim likes to train for boxing, so the accused started training for the same”.

During the training, the accused tried to touch the victim in an uncomfortable way and molested the victim. The victim was alarmed by the behaviour and as she came near the lift to go to her flat, the accused also followed her and molested the victim again.

Senior inspector of police Sardar Patil said that a case has been registered under sections 354, 354 (d) of the IPC.
