Woman talathi and man arrested by Pune ACB for demanding bribe
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune ACB Trap | The Pune ACB has arrested a woman talathi of Chambli talathi office located in Purandar taluka and a private person in connection with ₹2,000 bribery case. (Pune ACB Trap)
The accused have been identified as Neelam Mansingh Deshmukh (32), Talathi, Saja-Cahmbli, Purandar taluka, Pune district and private person Narayan Dattatray Shendkar (50). The complainant’s mother passed away in January 2023 and he had made an application to delete her name from the 7/12 extract in Chambli’s talathi office. A bribe of ₹2,000 was sought from him. Since the complainant did not want to pay a bribe, he lodged a complaint with the Pune ACB.
After the complaint was verified, it was found that Talathi Neelam Deshmukh had sought a bribe from the complainant. The ACB Pune arrested Neelam Deshmukh and Narayan Shendkar. An FIR has been registered against them at the Saswad police station under the Pune Rural Police. PI Jyoti Patil is probing the case.
The action was taken under the guidance of Pune ACB Amol Tambe and Addl SP Suraj Gurav.
