Why death toll is not decreasing even after decrease in cases, Know the reason

New Delhi : The trend of reduction of corona infection in the country continues. But experts say that despite the decrease in infection, the high number of deaths may continue for the next few days. Reduction in deaths will be possible only after 15 days of peak discharge. Professor Jugal Kishore, head of the community medicine department of Vardhman Mahavir Medical College, said that the impact of the infection reaching the peak can be seen on the deaths for at least the next 15 days. Because a person is infected, it takes at least 15 days to recover. He may be healthy or he may die.

He further said that the highest number of Corona cases in the country was reported at 4.14 on May 7 and it was the peak of the second wave. The peak has passed and according to this, the high figure of death will remain till 15 days after this. After that the situation will change.

If you look at the situation after May 7, then the high figure of deaths remains. There is a slight decrease and sometimes an increase in it. But it has not declined in terms of decrease in infection. The same situation may appear for the next few days, but after that the deaths will start to decrease. According to experts, the actual reduction in these figures will start from next week as it will cross the period of 15 days post-peak between May 22-23. After this, the figure of deaths will start to decrease.

Deaths will also decrease due to decrease in active cases:
Experts say that in the coming time, there will be decrease in deaths too due to decreasing active cases. Secondly, this figure will also be reduced due to continuous decrease in the number of active patients. The less active patients, the better treatment they will get in hospitals, due to which the deaths will be minimal. The record of deaths was broken again on Wednesday. During the last 24 hours, 4529 deaths were recorded, which is the highest ever. During this period, the number of active patients has come down to 32.26 lakhs, from 37.23 lakhs on 7 May. Five lakh cases have come down in 10 days.
