Video : Akshay Kumar appeals to change attitude towards transgender community
Mumbai : Akshay Kumar has made a name in Bollywood with his hard work and wonderful acting skills. Through this identity, he talks instinctively on such issues of the society, on which people rarely want to talk in ordinary life.
After doing films like Padman, Toilet, now Akshay’s film ‘Laxmii’ is going to be released on November 9. The film will be released on Disney Plus Hot Star. It is a horror comedy film in which Akshay will be seen in the role of a transgender. Kiara Advani will be seen in the lead role with him in the film.
Akshay has released a video on his Twitter and other social media accounts. This video appeals to change attitudes towards the transgender community. Along with Akshay, Kiara Advani and Laxmi Narayan Tripathi are also seen in this video.
Along with the video, Akshay wrote in the caption, “Nazar se bachne ke liye toh bahot tikke laga liye, nazariya badalne wala tikka lagane ki #AbHamariBaariHai. Let’s break the gender stereotype and extend our support to the third gender with a Laal Bindi that stands for equal love and respect.”
The film Lakshmi is directed by Raghav Lawrence and depicts the transgender community. It is noteworthy that earlier the name of this film was Lakshmi Bomb due to which it was also surrounded in controversies. After that its name was changed to Laxmii. Recently, a song Bum Bhole was also released in which Akshay is dancing with 100 transgender people. Akshaya’s energy in this song is amazing.
This year, all of Akshay’s films were postponed due to the coronavirus epidemic. Laxmii was earlier supposed to be released on Eid but now it is being released on OTT platform.
Akshay’s film Suryavanshi was also to be released this year but now it will come next year. Also Bachchan Pandey, Bell Bottom, Rakshabandhan, Prithviraj, Atrangi Ray, are likely to be released next year.
