‘Vedic Shanti Path’ Recited at White House, BAPS Priest Did the Pooja

Washington : America has been the most affected country in the world so far by Coronavirus. During this period of epidemic, a prayer meeting was organized at the White House for the health, safety and welfare of all on the occasion of National Day of Prayer Service. Holy Vedic Shanti Path was performed by a Hindu priest in the Rose Garden of the White House. On invitation of US President Donald Trump, priest Harish Brahmabhatta from the BAPS Swaminarayan Temple in New Jersey recited the Hindu Shanti Path.

On this occasion, Brahmabhatta said, “In this crisis of coronavirus, due to social distancing and lockdown, it is not normal for people to not to be calm and be worried. Shanti Path is a prayer that is not offered for any desire for worldly riches, success, fame or to get heaven. It is a beautiful Hindu prayer for peace. It is a Vedic prayer, which is described in the Yajurveda.” After this, Brahmabhatta also explained the entire prayer into English.

Importance of worship
Brahmabhatta said, ‘The sound of prayer for peace goes to heaven. Peace be in the heavens and the earth, peace be in the water, peace be upon the herbs and trees. Peace be in all the crops. Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti. ‘ After the prayer was over, President Donald Trump thanked Harish Brahmabhatta. He said that America is currently fighting a very terrible disease.

Trump thanked Brahmabhatta for his prayers and said that America is fighting a fierce battle against a very terrible disease at the moment. He said that whenever a crisis or challenge came, our people believed in faith, the power of prayer and has believed in the infinite glory of God. Trump said that I urge all Americans to pray wholeheartedly.

Melania Expressed Condolences to the Victims
First Lady Melania Trump extended her deepest sympathy to the families of those who have lost their loved ones because of the Corona epidemic. She said, “Let us pray for the sick people who are suffering, and also for those working on the front-line who are serving.” This was the first time that a religious leader of New Jersey’s Swami Narayan Temple attended a prayer meeting held at the White House on the occasion of National Prayer Day.
