Union Minister Nitin Gadkari conducts aerial survey of Shree Sant Tukaram Maharaj palkhi route

Pune : NpNews24 Online – Shri Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi Marg | Union Minister Nitin Gadkari with MP Ranjit Singh Naik Nimbalkar conducted an aerial survey of Shree Sant Tukaram Maharaj palkhi route which links two important pilgrimage spots i.e Dehu and Pandharpur. (Shri Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi Marg)
The Shree Sant Tukaram Maharaj palkhi route (National Highway 965 G) is a 130 km long highway which is being developed along Patas-Baramati-Indapur-Akluj-Bondle route. There are 11 palkhi stops and all necessary facilities would be provided for warkaris.
Saplings will be planted on both sides of the highway. At some places, sculptures will be kept and mural paintings will be used to beautify the route.
Special saplings including sandalwood, holy basil (tulsi), banyan, neem, peepal and tamarind are being planted along the route. At present, 57,200 saplings have been planted in the middle of the highway and 18,840 saplings have been planted on both the sides of the highway.
