Two jewelers booked for selling less Carat Gold ornaments

An FIR has been registered against two jewelers from Khadki, who used to cheat people by selling less carat gold in the name of 23 carat gold ornaments.

The accused persons have been identified as Nilesh Shantilal Jain and Kamlesh Shantilal Jain of Modern Jewelers located in Khadki. Akshay Anant Shinde (29), Khadki Cantonment block president, has lodged the complaint against the two accused jewelers with Khadki police station.

According to police, he had bought a gold ring from Modern Jewelers for his father, but when he got some doubts about purity of gold. He got the ring checked from other jeweler and found that the ring has only 16.71 carat gold and not 23 for which he had paid the money. After this, Shinde filed a case with police.
