Traffic rules only for common citizens?

MEKHOLA MUKHERJEE: NP NEWS 24 ONLINE- Where throughout the nation, the traffic police is being strict with the citizens about wearing helmets for safety, a policeman was seen travelling on a bike without helmet in broad day light.

The incident was witnessed in a broad day light on Monday at around 4:25 pm in Salisbury Park area, Gultekdi, Pune.

The police cop was driving the bike( 5346), he was moving towards from Mukund Nagar.
Although the picture is taken from behind and the face is not visible, but the cop is clearly seen in uniform, from which he can be identified.

With the beginning of the new year, Pune Police has been imposing fines on the rule offenders and dealing with them strictly in the city. Not a single individual is being spared, right from teenagers to adults, and now a policeman was seen driving motorcycle without helmet.

Last year, in 2017, in a notification released in Ahmedabad by Commissioner of police, it was ordered that the police cops will be fined double than the citizens if they were caught driving without helmets.

On which, also some policemen had given their justification saying that as per their job they have to move places. And most of the times, it is not possible for them to carry helmets along with them as they have to borrow helmets from their friends and relatives.

In Pune, with the start of the year, various citizens were seen driving bikes wearing helmets due to the terror of the traffic police fearing they might be imposed a fine of 1000 rupees.

As per the rule, it is equal for all. It must be imposed on the police cops as well and no one should be spared of the punishment, isn’t it?
