To say good bye to male friend, foreigner man enters Pune airport with forged boarding pass

Love does not care about any restrictions. This was proved by a 42-year-old Venezuela national who entered the Pune airport on Thursday night with help of forged board pass, to say goodbye to his male friend who was going to Delhi.

The friend went to Delhi, and this man went to police lock up as a case of forgery and cheating was registered against him with Pune city police’s Airport police station.

The arrested accused has been identified as Miguel Enrique Meneses Becerra, a native of Caracas in Venezuela. In Pune, he worked as site reliability engineer with a reputed MNC engaged in oil services and currently resided in Magarpatta City, Hadapsar.

Vaibhav Tulsirqam Poman (38), a security manager with Indigo Airlines, has lodged the FIR against him with the police for breaching security guidelines.

Police said that the incident took place around 8 pm on Thursday. Becerra had traveled to Hyderabad onboard Indigo Airlines in August. He forged the same web check-in boarding pass to make that he was travelling on the same flight but to Mumbai from Pune. After saying goodbye to his friend he was going out of the airport, when the CISF officials caught him. After his boarding pass was checked, it was found to be fake and he was handed over to police.

Police arrested the accused for offences under sections 465 (punishment for forgery) and 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
