Three workers burnt to death as fire breaks in godown at Wagholi

PUNE : NpNews24 Online  –  Pune Crime Fire News | Three workers died after a godown containing equipment used for setting up shamiana caught fire at Ubale Nagar in Wagholi. The inferno was blazing for four hours. There was a godown filled with 400 cylinders adjacent to the godown. There is a huge godown of Shubh Sajavat containing equipment used for setting up shamiana at Ubale Nagar in Wagholi. The fire brigade was informed that the godown had caught fire at 11.43 pm. Five fire tenders from Pune and four tenders of PMRDA reached the spot and the inferno was blazing.

 

Since there was a lot of wooden equipment in the godown, the jawans were forced to make a lot of efforts to put out the fire. Four cylinders in the godown burst one after another and the fire spread everywhere.

 

Fire brigade jawans took precaution to prevent the spread of the fire to the adjacent godown which contained 400 cylinders. After making efforts for one hour, the jawans succeeded in controlling the fire. The fire was put out at 3.45 am. The cooling work is going on. Three workers were burnt to death and their names could not be ascertained. The cause of the fire is not known till now.
