Three booked for beating and molesting woman over love for stray dogs in Vadgaon Sheri

They thran the car over a security guard. They filmed the women on the premises of the society. When a woman sought explanation from them, they beat and molested her. (Pune Crime News)
A 48-year-old woman lodged a complaint at the Yerwada Police Station. Accordingly, the police have registered a case against Kapil Patwardhan from Erandwane, Nitasha Pankaj Saxena from Viman Nagar and Soumya Mamunuru from Vadgaon Sheri. The incident took place on February 11 at Bramha Suncity Society in Vadgaon Sheri.
According to the police, there are many stray dogs in the Vadgaon Sheri area. A dog had bitten a child badly. Local citizens protested against this and demanded impounding of the dogs on their society premises. The PMC’s dog van came. Kapil Patwardhan and others came to the society without permission. They tried to run over the security guard. They took a video clip of the women on the premises of the society in their mobile phones. When the complainant objected to this, Kapil Patwardhan molested her. He drove his car at high speed and hit the complainant and injured her. Other women were beaten and abused. The police have registered a case against the three and API Alekar is investigating.
